Maintenance -> Removing a Rear Lamp for your Ford Fiesta 2017-2023

Note: Take care when removing the
headlamp. There are rupture points adjacent
to the securing screws that are designed to
separate under impact.
5. Slightly rotate the rear of the headlamp
toward the center of the vehicle so that
it clears the front fender.

6. Move the headlamp slightly backwards
to clear the radiator grille panel. Then
lift the headlamp straight upward.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
8. Remove the headlamp.

9. To install, reverse the removal

1. Carefully cut the trim to access the
lamp release wing nut.
REMOVING A REAR LAMP
2. Turn the wing nut counterclockwise to
Brake Lamp, Rear Lamp and
release the lamp.
Direction Indicator
Note: You cannot fully remove the wing
nut.

3. Remove the lamp.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. To install, reverse the removal
procedure.

Reversing Lamp
CHANGING A BULB
WARNING: Switch the lamps and
the ignition off. Failure to do so could
result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: Lamps and associated
components become hot when in use.
Let them cool down before you remove
them.

Use the correct specification bulb. See
Bulb Specification Chart (page 311).
Headlamp

assembly prior to replacing a bulb. See
Removing a Headlamp (page 253).
1. Open the liftgate.
2. Carefully remove the cover.

3. Turn the wing nut counterclockwise
and remove it.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
6. To install, reverse the removal
procedure.
