This vehicle is equipped with an event data
recorder. The main purpose of an event

tire pressure and battery charge level.

understanding how a vehicle’s systems
performed. The event data recorder is
designed to record data related to vehicle
dynamics and safety systems for a short
period of time, typically 30 seconds or less.
•
•
Events or errors in essential systems,
for example headlamps and brakes.
System responses to driving situations,
for example airbag deployment and
stability control.
The event data recorder in this vehicle is
designed to record such data as:

Environmental conditions, for example

How various systems in your vehicle
were operating;

passenger seatbelts were
buckled/fastened;
temperature.
Some of this data, when used in

for example your contact information, to
offer you products and services that may
be of interest to you according to your
preferences and where allowed by law.
Our service providers are equally required
by law to protect your data and retain it in
accordance with data retention policies.
Note: Event data recorder data is recorded
by your vehicle only if a non-trivial crash
situation occurs; no data is recorded by the
event data recorder under normal driving
conditions and no personal data or
information (e.g., name, gender, age, and
crash location) is recorded. However,
parties, such as law enforcement, could
combine the event data recorder data with
the type of personally identifying data
routinely acquired during a crash
investigation.
Note: Third party repair facilities can also
collect service data through the data link
connector.

Union regulation that concerns the

or exceed these specifications.
Collision Repairs
We hope that you never experience a
collision, but accidents happen sometimes.
Genuine Ford replacement collision parts
meet our stringent requirements for fit,
finish, structural integrity, corrosion
protection and dent resistance. During
vehicle development we validate that
these parts deliver the intended level of
protection as a whole system. A great way
to know for sure you are getting this level
of protection is to use genuine Ford
replacement collision parts.
We specifically support Regulation EC
1907/2006 Article 33(1) that relates to
substances of very high concern which
appear on the current list for authorisation.
If these substances do exist in a product,
it is important to guarantee their safe use
so the regulation is designed to enable you
to take any appropriate risk management
measures.
To find out more about the REACH
directive, search REACH on the local Ford
website.
Warranty on Replacement Parts
Genuine Ford and Motorcraft replacement
parts are the only replacement parts that
benefit from a Ford Warranty.
The Ford Warranty may not cover damage
caused to your vehicle as a result of failed
non-Ford parts.

identify genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts
by looking for the Ford, FoMoCo or
Motorcraft branding on the parts or their

Using mobile communications equipment
is becoming increasingly important in the
conduct of business and personal affairs.
However, you must not compromise your

paramount when using mobile

negating these benefits. Mobile
