number
General information
Depending on the national-market equipment,
the vehicle identification number is located in
different positions in the vehicle. This chapter
describes all possible positions for the series.
Under the hood
The vehicle identification number can be found
on the nameplate, on the left-hand side of the
vehicle.
Windshield
The engraved vehicle identification number
can be found under the hood on the right-hand
side of the vehicle.
Right nameplate
The vehicle identification number can also be
found behind the windshield.
iDrive
It is also possible to display the vehicle identifi-
cation number via iDrive.
