Vehicle features and options ECO PRO
This chapter describes model-specific equip-
ment, systems, and functions that are currently
Principle
ECO PRO supports a power-saving driving
style. For this purpose, the engine control and
comfort features, for instance the climate con-
trol output, are adjusted.
available, or may become available in the fu-
ture, even if they are not present in the vehicle.

Vehicle equipment, refer to page 8.
In addition, situational instructions and ECO
PRO tips can be displayed to help promote a
power-saving driving style.
Increasing the range
General information
The system includes the follow-
ing EfficientDynamics functions and
EfficientDynamics displays:
Principle
The vehicle contains comprehensive technolo-
gies for reducing energy consumption and for
maximizing the range.

ECO PRO air conditioning.
ECO PRO view.
There are some actions you can take to in-
crease your range:
▷
▷
▷
▷
Remove unnecessary cargo from the vehi-
cle.
Driving style analysis.
Remove add-on parts, e.g., a rear carrier,
after use.
Overview
Close the windows and glass sunroof while
driving.
Button in the vehicle
Check the tire pressure regularly and in-
crease it as necessary.
▷
▷
Use pre-conditioning before driving.
Anticipatory driving and letting the vehicle
coast more often.
▷
▷
Deactivate functions that are not required,
e.g., rear window heating.
Have the vehicle serviced regularly.

DRIVING TIPS
Resetting the settings
Selecting the driving mode
Press the button. ECO PRO is dis-
played in the instrument cluster.

3. "Driving settings"
eDRIVE operates automatically. Anticipatory
driving utilizes energy consumption and en-
ergy recovery optimally. Energy recovery is
used to charge the high-voltage battery. En-
ergy recovery is important for the supply of
electrical components and thus a prerequisite
for a long range. Energy consumption and en-
ergy recovery depend very much on your driv-
ing style, among other factors.

Activating/deactivating ECO PRO
functions
The following ECO PRO functions can be acti-
vated/deactivated:
▷
▷
▷
ECO PRO seat heating.
ECO PRO air conditioning.
ECO PRO light.
Optimizing driving style
Power gauge
When ECO PRO driving mode is activated, the
display switches to a special configuration.
ECO PRO seat climate control
The activation of ECO PRO will reduce the out-
put of the seat heating.
ECO PRO air conditioning
The air conditioning is adjusted to save en-
ergy.
This means it is possible to deviate slightly
from the set temperature and heat or cool the
car interior more slowly to economize on elec-
trical consumption.
When driving efficiently, the power gauge is
colored blue.
ECO PRO light
The output of exterior mirror heating and rear
window defroster is reduced.
The display will change to gray if the driving
style is inefficient.
Activate adaptive recuperative braking for effi-
cient driving.
Depending on the equipment version, the dy-
namic ECO lighting function is activated in ad-
dition.

Display in case of inefficient driving
style
Display on the control display
The display of the efficiency analysis shows
the efficiency of the driving style.
When driving above the efficient range,
an arrow will be displayed.
The more efficient the driving style, the larger
the bars of the evaluation categories.
For instance, this is displayed for the
following situations:
In contrast, a reduced area will be displayed
with an inefficient driving style.
▷
▷
Excessive acceleration.
Excessive speed.
Adaptive recuperation
In addition, a notice to coast in advance is dis-
played.
Principle
Adaptive recuperation supports an anticipatory
and comfort-oriented driving style.
Driving style analysis
The system decides based on the situation
if and how much the energy is recovered
through recuperation or if the vehicle coasts.
Depending on the strength of the recupera-
tion, the vehicle is decelerated differently while
coasting.
Principle
In this situation, the function helps develop an
especially efficient driving style and to save en-
ergy.
For this purpose, the driving style is analyzed.
The assessment is done in various categories
and is displayed on the control display.
General information
This display will help you adjust your driving
style and save some energy.
Various sensors analyze the current driving sit-
uation, e.g., the distance to the vehicle in front.
Adaptive recuperation is available depending
on the equipment and national-market version.
General information
The range of the vehicle can be extended by
adjusting your driving style.
Functional requirements
The current trip is analyzed.
The system active under the following condi-
tions:
